Whilst we acknowledge both alcohol and gambling can impact negatively on some members of society we proactively engage with industry & government bodies to ensure our management and staff are trained and have the resources available to facilitate an appropriate response when required.

The Summerhill Hotel is committed to providing its leisure and entertainment opportunities, including gambling products, in a responsible manner with a focus on customer care and staff well-being. This is achieved by The Summerhill Hotel ensuring that information is provided to customers to enable them to make informed choices about their gambling activity and ensuring that staff are trained and knowledgeable about customer care, including responsible gambling and problem gambling issues.

Summerhill Hotel receive the 2006 Responsible Gambling Venue of the Year Award

The hotel regularly donates money raised through our vending coffee machines to local and worthy charities. Patrons are charged 20c for a tea or coffee and all supplies are paid for by The Summerhill Hotel. If you believe you have a local community group require assistance please drop-in or contact us.
